Miss California

So apparently at last nights Miss USA pageant (I didn’t watch it…that would mean that I would have to gouge my eyeballs out and I like my eyeballs!) Miss California was asked a question by Perez Hilton (who I admit I have an obsession with! I love him!) regarding Gay Marriage.

Poor girl. That is all I can say. She was damned from the start. It didn’t matter how she answered the question, her answer was going to piss somebody off. It was funny to see her stumble through the answer, but I was proud of her for getting to the point at the end of her answer where she says “I believe that marriage is between a man and woman!” I of course COMPLETELY disagree with her. I am so sick of the gay marriage crap. Marriage is “holy” and blah, blah, blah… Have you seen the divorce rate? Give me a break. If two people, or a dog and a man as far as I an concerned love one another and want to spend their lives together…more power to them. There are same sex couple who have been together for years and years why shouldn’t these people who have dedicated their lives and hopes and love to each other be able to recognize that love in the form of a legal union? Legal so that they may be able to have the same rights as a heterosexual couple? (Or as Miss California puts it…opposite marriage! LOL)

This is where those against same sex marriage will throw the Bible at you…or my favorite…The Bible said Adam and Eve…not Adam and Steve. Yawn.

If everyone would just stop worrying about everyone else and concentrate on themselves and their families we’d live in a better world.

So…stepping down from my soap box…I was glad to see that although I disagree with Miss California, she had the guts to answer the question, and not tap dance around it. Now…if only she sounded a bit smarter when she answered it! (Though I shouldn’t judge, I am sure it is hell standing up there in front everyone)

At least she didn’t sound like this dumbass…
