Paris

We are back from our trip to Paris and I have to tell you that it was AMAZING! What an unbelievable city! It is tough to put it into words it was that amazing! We cannot wait to go back, but with one condition…Aidan stays home! J He did very well, but you can imagine that it isn’t the most exciting thing for an 18month old to do. We tried to stop off at parks and play, let him out of the stroller as often as we could but I know that we missed out on so much! We hit the main sites but sadly did not experience any nightlife at all. It was light until after 9:00pm, and we were back at the apartment trying to coax a very crabby, nap skipping, over stimulated baby to sleep. We did catch a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower at night on our last night out. We wanted to try and see the lights of Paris, but Aidan was done so back to the apartment we went. (Oh…we always rent either and apartment or a villa/house when we travel since a hotel room is just too cramped for us) Oh...and for those that have kids…we could take the stroller to many places but the Eiffel Tower should not have been one of them. Leave the stroller home when you go to the Eiffel Tower. You can’t use it in lines or in the elevators (and truthfully this is where you will spend most of your time while visiting) so, take a sling or a wrap. I still use my Moby wrap with Aidan on occasion and it works very well in places like this! Also, we didn’t use the Metro system, we took cabs but again, like many other cities there are no lifts to get to the subways so you will have to carry the stroller up and down. Just something to think about. The taxis were easy to get and not too expensive and it worked better for us.
So many things I want to share so I am going to break the posts up into subjects and by days!
