Day One...

We arrived mid afternoon and had a car service pick us up at the airport (We have found this to be much more cost effective and easier to use since they are waiting outside of customs with your name on a sign…than taking a cab (who will gouge you most of the time) or trying public transport with suitcases, carry on, baby, stroller etc.) and headed to our apartment in Champs-elysees. We literally dropped our stuff…freshened up just a bit and headed out. We found a lovely little cafĂ© and I had a glass of champagne and JR had a glass of wine. We watched the people and city…feeling a bit out of place, but loving every moment. After we finished we decided we needed to find a market…oh boy. Let’s just say that it took us some time and finally found a man who spoke pretty good English who directed us to a small market. We bought our essentials, wine, cheese and bread. Oh yeah and milk for Aidan! J We strolled around a bit and headed back to the apartment as it was already getting late and we were beat from the travel (We left our home at 6:00am for the airport and had a 4 hour layover in Aberdeen)
